Back Country!

At TRNP we have one back country ranger here in the South Unit. His job is primarily trail maintenance, back country maintenance etc. But because our park is completely fenced in, his main objective is fence repair, we have a little over 68 miles of fence. So we have one ranger for almost 70 miles of fence, plus whatever else he needs to work on. Basically he needs all the help he can get. I am pretty good friends with him and have been able to help him out a few times on my days off. It is hard work but it is really fun. Fence repair isn't easy haha, I can't imagine doing it by myself. I am considering applying here next year as a back country ranger, hopefully it'll all work out haha. So on my days I have been able to help I took a few pictures, although I only have a few, I wish I would have taken more. OHHHH WEELL.....

Sorry for putting so many of the same pictures up haha the sky was pretty sweet looking

This was really bizarre, these bees were all hanging out on these dead flowers, it was quite weird.

There were like 4 different types of bees too.

Random Coolness

Here are a few pictures from the last few weeks, I have been bad about keeping this blog updated. most of these are just pretty cool photos, with little or no significance other than they look nice haha. Either way, I have been enjoying myself thoroughly and wish I could show you all how awesome it is out here! And I love you Liz!! =) had to throw that in there =) Someday I will take you here too!

OK as a disclaimer some of these photos may seem repetitive but I figure they are all really pretty so I wanted to share. The road pictures are all because the sky was so sweet looking, and I was not driving either. I stopped and got out to take almost all of these photos.

These pictures from here down are from a hike I took, I hiked the lower paddock creek trail, it  really nice!
